Chattanooga Pumpkin Patch Round-up

“Each year, the Great Pumpkin rises out of the pumpkin patch that he thinks is the most sincere. He’s gotta pick this one. He’s got to. I don’t see how a pumpkin patch can be sincerer than this one. You can look around and there’s not a sign of hypocrisy. Nothing but sincerity as far as the eye can see.” – Linus, It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown

While the temperatures might be staying in the high 70s, when September 1st arrives, I cannot help to think about anything but fall – and everything that goes along with it. As many people know, it’s the season for “Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice.” And while I am not going to mention exactly how many Pumpkin Spice Lattes I have purchased at Starbucks, or how many fall decorations (mostly pumpkins) I have bought so far this season (it is more than a few, but fewer than a dozen, LOL), another aspect of this season I love is all the pumpkin-picking activities that are available in our community!

Of course, the fun doesn’t end there. In addition to the corn maze, participants can experience the Pumpkin Patch, where you can find a variety of sizes and colors of pumpkins (any of which are sure to be your family’s Great Pumpkin) that you can choose to purchase right off the vine; a soy bean maze; hayrides; corn cannons; a cow train; farm-friendly animals; play a game of tag with friends or corn ball; and more!

With all the fun to be had this season, how will you pick which pumpkin patch to visit in order to find your family’s ultimate Great Pumpkin? I say we hit up all three between opening day and the end of October – what do you say?
