The GPS Summer Program is open to girls ages 4 – 14+ and books up quickly, so early registration is encouraged. Activities include a day of sailing on the lake, rowing on the river, or rehearsing for an on-stage performance.

Students will learn how code works, along with some basic Java and principles behind key coding elements such as variables, logic and functions. Over the course of 5 days, they will plan out and design their own Minecraft items, creatures, recipes, blocks and game rules. They will then add these rules into the game themselves, working through elements of game design and project management.

All inventors have been inspired by how things work and what can be created wth imagination and parts. The STEAM Society Robotics Camp brings together a strong robotics focus with a foundation of Physics, Math, and Science! Our instructors have a passion for science and want to help your child develop a curiosity for making things work. Our fun-filled engaging hands-on camp allows free creation as well as instruction designed to make STEAM come to life.

In addition to a robust curriculum we will have a robotics competition on the final day and would encourage parents to join us, as we demonstrate core concepts in robotics and engineering through various challenges posed for campers to complete.

In partnership with the award winning professional team at 6 Strong Media, we have created a videography camp that takes the green room to the outdoors and the editing studio into the palm of your child’s hand! Instruction around the basics of film making such as storyboarding, creative process and editing are reviewed to prepare campers to go out in to the enviornment to create film. This will be an active, engaging, fast-paced experience that takes them through the world of a production studio. Budget, project management, and a final day film festival will provide a  story-based learning enviornment. 

We use open-source or low cost software, and mobile applications to promote ongoing learning for your child without you having to worry about expensive equipment. Enjoy and active summer camp with a focus of responsible film making on the go!

Ready! Set! Let’s go! Summer at St. Nicholas Camp is an incredibly fun time for kids ages 4-12, with a camp leadership program for ages 13-15.
Day camp is open from 7am-6pm. Campers may attend enrichment classes in addition to day camp or they may opt to do specific enrichment classes outside of day camp.

Townsend Atelier is offering five different one-week sessions for ages 6-16 in June and July.

Chattanooga Christian School offers a variety of musical theatre, robotics, and sports camps and clinics as well as 3- and 5-day sessions of our Chargers Day Camp. The Chargers Day Camp runs for 8 weeks and incorporates art, field trips, water games, and a variety of sports activities. Before and After Camp Care are also available. The musical theatre camps are tailored for beginner to advanced performers and backstage crew. Kids can enhance their knowledge and skills of set design, costuming, vocal performance, character development, and choreography. Each camp ends with a performance that is open to the community. Our sports camps are led by CCS varsity coaches, and we are proud to partner with Chattanooga Football Club (CFC) for our soccer camps. Summer is all about play, exploration and camps! Creative Discovery Museum combines all three with multiple opportunities for kids ages four through 14! Our camps are filled with activities that bring science alive for children! Our enthusiastic, experienced staff provide a fun-filled, safe environment for children to embrace the summer camp experience.

4- and 5-year-old camps: These half-day camps are a perfect first camp experience filled with Museum play, theme-related crafts, time in CDM’s Culinary Corner  and much more!

Kdg – 5th grade camps: These interactive camps include time in the Museum, a mid-week field trip, snacks, group projects and plenty to write home about!

For the first time, Creative Discovery Museum is rolling out a camp for older students! They will explore the festival grounds at Riverbend, meet and work with sound and lighting professionals and play in a sound studio. This camp is created specifically for that middle school student who enjoys creating music and wants to get to know what the music industry looks like from the inside out!

All camps include time in the Museum, food preparation in Culinary Corner, snacks, group projects and a t-shirt for each child. Morning drop-off begins at 8:30 a.m. with camp programming beginning at 9:00 a.m. Preschool camps are over at 12:00 p.m. School-age and Specialty Camps end at 3:30 p.m.

NEW THIS YEAR. Can’t make it to the Museum by 3:30? We’ve got you covered. This year we’re offering after-care camps for just $10 a day. Let us keep your child happy and entertained an extra two hours. Aftercare is not available for all camps.

Bring your child’s favorite movie to life. This week we will focus our class, craft, and rehearsal time around the theme of the Disney classic, Frozen. June 19th-23rd
Combining dance with crafts, students will learn about the classical ballet, Sleeping Beauty, during this weeklong event. Week 1: Contemporary Dance Camp: Studies of Modern and Jazz Dance

June 12th- 16th

Learning through dance and crafts, students will explore modern and jazz techniques, history, and choreography in this weeklong camp. Please have a black outfit including black tights or leggings, and a black leotard or shirt for the base of costumes for Friday’s performance.

Girl Quest (June 5 – June 30, 2017)

Girls ages 6-8 and 9-11 will build a foundation for enjoying non-traditional sports and new outdoor adventures, all while experiencing the benefits and excitement of taking safe, positive risks.  Such adventures will boost a healthy, competitive spirit that strengthens their self-confidence and personal growth.  In addition, summer activities will include field trips, swimming, reading, exploratory and making new friends.

E-Girl^3: Empowering. Engineering. Excellence (July 10 – August 4, 2017)

Girls ages 6-8 and 9-11 will mix STEAM and literacy in exciting ways by watching videos, reading books and applying engineering ideas.  Such learning exploration will teach girls how engineering impact their lives and society, daily.  In addition, summer activities will include field trips, swimming, reading, exploratory and making new friends.

Summer 2017 Teen Camps for girls in grades 6 through 12.

IX (June 12 – June 30, 2017)

Teens in grades 6th through 12th will explore and gain an appreciate for the year, 1972, Title IX.  Teens will develop movement and athletic skills designed to sustain girls’ interest in sports, nontraditional activities and adventures.  Teens will not only build physical strength but also courage, confidence and self-reliance and other life skills.  In addition, summer activities will include field trips, swimming, reading, exploratory and making new friends.

In TEENS We Trust (July 17 – August 4, 2017)

Teens in grades 6th through 12th will prepare for interesting work and economic independence.  Through hands-on enrichment that encourages teens to make informed decisions about earning, saving, spending and sharing money as a skill.  This economic experience will deepen their knowledge and appreciation for local, national and global economics and finances.  In addition, summer activities will include field trips, swimming, reading, exploratory and making new friends.

Bring your kids to join us at The Sweet and Savory Classroom for a week of “hands on” cooking with Chef Jeff or Chef Heather, professionals with over 40 years combined experience. Each day will be a different culinary adventure! Students will learn how to follow a recipe, prepare food, cooking techniques, and food presentation. More than the skills, they will also be challenged, build confidence, learn food safety, have fun, and eat great food! Each day the kids will enjoy lunch that they have prepared. Menu’s and dates are different for each camp.
