At Earth Fare, we like to say that we read the label so you don’t have to, making grocery shopping a million times easier when you’re looking for healthy food for your family. This Food Philosophy is exemplified by a rigorous set of Quality Standards, which ensures that every single item in the 32,000 square-foot store is free of items from its Boot List. You’ll never find these things in an Earth Fare store:

  • Added hormones
  • Artificial fats and trans fats
  • Artificial sweeteners
  • Bleached or bromated flour
  • Antibiotics
  • High-fructose corn syrup
  • Artificial preservatives
  • Artificial colors and flavors

We know moms will love The Heirloom Café featuring all-organic coffees, juices and smoothies, plus the wide array of grab-and-go meal options that make getting dinner on the table a snap. And the kids will love the take-and-bake pizzas; everyday kids meals for just $3; and our bulk candy bins—don’t worry moms: All of Earth Fare’s candy is colored with fruit and vegetable dyes, instead of harmful artificial colors.

A trip to Earth Fare can also save you time. With a full selection of baby products including baby foods, natural diapers, and BPA-free toys; pet foods and cleaning products; and a Wellness Department stocked with more than 9,000 vitamins, supplements, toiletries, and beauty products, Earth Fare is a one-stop shop for local families.

And speaking of local, did you know that Earth Fare offers items from more than 40 local farms and artisan producers? Look for the red ‘Love Local’ label to pick out your favorite home grown must-haves in every section of the store.

Stefanie, our CMB contributor had the chance to tour the new Earth Fare before the Grand Opening.

“What impresses me the most about Earth Fare Hixson is how much they involve our community in the building of and growth of their business. They created a Community Advisory Board, which consists of local citizens such as stay-at-home moms, teachers, doctors, and retirees, who volunteer their time and voices to create a personal shopping experience by helping to make the store unique to our preferences and local favorites. That’s why you’ll see local honey, locally roasted coffee, extra hand sanitizer stations around the bulk food dispensers, and locally sourced produce in their stores, and that’s what will keep me coming back for more.”

One more thing: Earth Fare has a new holiday catering program to make sure that your family can spend more time gathered around the table, and less time juggling pots and pans in the kitchen. Head to www.EarthFare.com/reservationstation to pick out everything you need for a classic holiday feast, from the turkey to the trimmings. Vegan and vegetarian options are also available.

Eighteen years ago, I moved to Knoxville after graduating college and fell in love with the city that has now truly become my home. Shortly after moving here, I married my college sweetheart, and when not working we set out to travel as much as we could. After working as a financial manager for six years, I welcomed my first son Nolan in 2010 and began a journey as a stay-at-home mom. Two years later we added another baby boy, Conley, to make us a family of four. In June 2016, we welcomed our third boy, Foster. I founded Knoxville Moms in November 2013 which began my career as a work-from-home mom, and it grew to the expansion of Chattanooga Moms in March 2016. We welcomed our first girl, Lilah, in November 2017 making us a family of six and adding a little pink in our house. In June of 2021, I became co-owner of Atlanta Mom and in March 2022 the new owner of Nashville Moms. When I'm not chasing the kids or stepping on Legos you can find me enjoying a cup of coffee, reading a good book, and dreaming about my toes in the sand. I enjoy meeting new people and love to connect the moms of Knoxville, Chattanooga, Atlanta, and Nashville.
