Chattanooga Easter Events Roundup {2018}

It’s springtime, and you know what that means! In addition to the allergies and the rain, springtime means it’s time to plan for Easter. Whether you do Easter baskets, hide eggs, or gorge yourself with Cadbury eggs quietly in the closet (just me?), Easter is a great time to enjoy time with your family.

As expected, Chattanooga has a wide variety of ways to celebrate the season — check out the options below!

Easter Bunny Arrives at Hamilton Place Mall

March 10, 10-11am

Celebrate the Easter Bunny’s arrival along with his Woodland Friends from Reflection Riding Arboretum & Nature Center. Hippity hop your way to Center Court on Saturday, March 10th, from 10am – 11am. The Reflection Riding Arboretum & Nature Center will be on-hand to teach about the wonderful Woodland Friends of the Easter Bunny. They will have a Great Horned Owl, an opossum and two screech owls!


Tennessee Valley Railroad Bunny Train

March 17, 18, 24, 25, 30, and 31, 2018
Times: 10:40am, 12:05pm, 1:15pm, 2:25pm (check website for availability)

Hop Aboard for the third annual Bunny Train! These Easter Bunny Train rides will depart from Grand Junction and travel toward East Chattanooga where passengers will disembark for special activities. Storytelling, temporary tattoos, coloring pages, an egg hunt…and a chance to meet our big bunny! Bring a camera and take your child’s photo with the Easter Bunny. Tickets are $23 for everyone age 2 years and up.


3rd Annual Easter Egg Hunt at Gray Dove

The Gray Dove, 6408 Snow Hill Rd, Ooltewah, TN 37363
March 18, 2-5pm

Easter egg hunt with prizes, games, and petting and feeding various animals! Local vendors will be participating with concessions, boutique clothing, jewelry and other items available for purchase. This year we will have 10,000 EGGS! All filled eggs are assembled at a Sheltered Workshop in St. Louis, helping create meaningful work for people with disabilities.

$8 per car with a pre-purchased ticket; $10 per car at the gate.


Alexian Village Easter Egg Hunt

March 24, 10-12pm

Come for a giant egg hunt, separated by different age groups so all the kids get to fill their baskets! Look inside, you might have a winning egg with a special gift! Grab a balloon and enjoy cookies with lemonade. Don’t forget to have your picture taken with the Easter Bunny!

Easter Bunny Breakfast Cruise on the Southern Belle Riverboat

March 31

This breakfast cruise includes a visit from the Easter bunny, a magic show, coloring sheets, pilot house tours and a one-time-through buffet-style breakfast featuring scrambled eggs, sausage links, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, fruit, orange juice and coffee.

Ages 13 and up: $24.95
Ages 3-12: $12.95
Ages 2 and under: Free


Chattanooga Zoo’s Hug-A-Bunny Day

March 30 and 31, 9am – 5pm

Hug-a-Bunny Days guests will have the chance to get their photo made with the Easter Bunny, enjoy springtime games and crafts, gather Easter eggs, watch as our Zoo animals enjoy their egg hunt enrichment, encounter the Zoo’s real bunnies, and more!

Adults $9.95, children $6.95, ages 2 and under free (for non-members)
Admission is free for Chattanooga Zoo members.


Easter at Coolidge

April 1, 9am
Coolidge Park

Free face-painting and puppet shows for the kids; free coffee and donuts for mom and dad; praise and worship music in the park; and of course, an egg hunt of over 100,000 Easter eggs! This event is FREE for the whole family. The egg hunt begins at 9am with separate hunts for different age groups, but be sure to arrive early to set up your lawn chairs in the park and take part in the other fun activities! Live music will begin around 9:30am on the main stage.


Chattanoogan Hotel’s Annual Easter Brunch

April 1, 11am-3pm
Ages 13 and up: $45
Ages 5-12: $22
Under 5: Free

The Easter Brunch will be served in the hotel’s ballroom where guests can feast on a wide variety of delicious breakfast items, brunch selections, and desserts. The adorable, four-legged furry friends from Bagby’s Critter Corral will be available for petting and pictures, and kids will enjoy a visit from the Easter Bunny.  


Easter Luncheon Cruise on the Southern Belle Riverboat

April 1, 2-4pm

This two-hour cruise includes live music, pilot house tours, a visit from the Easter bunny, and a one time through buffet style lunch features lemon basil chicken, ham, baby red potatoes, vegetable medley, salad, dinner rolls, cheesecake, sweet tea, coffee and water.

Ages 13 and up: $36.95
Ages 3-12: $19.95
Ages 2 and under: Free
