BCA’s summer camp is designed to provide children who need summer child care with a variety of engaging activities. Children will participate in gymnastics, sports training, computer classes and biblical studies, as well as enjoy water and bike days, movie and pajama days, theme days, and creative hands-on activities. Children also have free play time inside and outside on the campus playground. Pre-K has in-house activities that include visits from the Tennessee Aquarium, Bricks 4 Kidz, Creative Discovery Museum, Chattanooga Zoo, Angela’s Angels athletic prep and gymnastics as well as visits from a petting zoo and a local chef and artist. Campers in 2nd through 8th grades go on field trips to various locales such as Coolidge Park, the Chattanooga Zoo, bowling and more. Camp hours are 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. with part-time options available.

Outdoor adventure, platform tents, traditional camping, fun and friendship! Located on Lookout Mountain, Camp Juliette Low (CJL) is a residential summer camp for girls that fosters self-confidence, independence, teamwork, and leadership. At CJL, campers will find a place where they can be themselves, make life-long friends, enjoy the outdoors, and learn new skills like archery, horseback riding, canoeing, sailing, paddle boarding, swimming, ceramics, zip-line, challenge course, climbing wall, backpacking and outdoor cooking.  

Founded in 1922 by Juliette Gordon Low, founder of the Girl Scouts, CJL is one of Georgia’s oldest summer camps and maintains its rustic camp setting and time-honored traditions. Today, CJL operates independently from the Girl Scouts and is open to all girls ages 7-17.

Language South: El Pueblo Spanish Camp

El Pueblo Spanish Camp will take place in Chattanooga from June 10th to June 16th and is open to kids and teens entering grades 5 through 10 next year. Campers at El Pueblo participate in games, songs, sports, and art, while the counselors speak in Spanish the whole time! El Pueblo staff members use images, gestures, and other resources to support campers as they experience success as Spanish learners. In the immersion camp setting, campers of all language levels (even those with no prior experience) will get to see what it’s like to use a foreign language in a fun, real, and meaningful way!

Art Camp at Townsend Atelier

Spend your summer at Townsend Atelier!  Our popular summer art camp is back with all new art experiences for your child.   Choose from five different one-week day camp sessions for ages 6-17.  Each session is thoughtfully designed and taught by our professional artists and art educators. Age appropriate, educational, and fun, each camp is chocked full of a variety of art techniques and materials ranging from painting to drawing, to sculpture, to printmaking and more.

Campers will need to bring their own lunch each day.  All materials are included in the camp fee.  Each session is from 9am-3pm, M-F and held at Townsend Atelier’s spacious facility in the Arts Building in downtown Chattanooga.  Sign up for one week or for more!

Creative Discovery Museum Creative Discovery Museum Camp

Summer is all about play, exploration and camps! Creative Discovery Museum combines all three with multiple opportunities for kids ages four through 14! Our camps are filled with activities that bring science alive for children! Our enthusiastic, experienced staff provide a fun-filled, safe environment for children to embrace the summer camp experience.

4- and 5-year-old camps: These half-day camps are a perfect first camp experience filled with Museum play, theme-related crafts, time in CDM’s Culinary Corner  and much more!

Kdg – 5th grade camps: These interactive camps include time in the Museum, a mid-week field trip, snacks, group projects and plenty to write home about!

All camps include time in the Museum, food preparation in Culinary Corner, snacks, group projects and a t-shirt for each child. Morning drop-off begins at 8:30 a.m. with camp programming beginning at 9:00 a.m. Preschool camps are over at 12:00 p.m. School-age and Specialty Camps end at 3:30 p.m.

This camp is for 5-7 year olds – 20 campers maximum

Welcome to the Creative Discovery Museum neighborhood! Using books that help a child develop those skills they need every day to enjoy themselves, we will have a great time making new friends in our new neighborhood, CDM FDC! Students are paired with each other and have a Big Buddy from UTC to help guide their experiences.

June 11-15  Friends’ Discovery Camp-Ages 8-12 (drop-off 8:30; pick-up 1:30)

Madcap Museum Mystery Solvers (Cost: $100; includes a museum membership)

This camp is for 8-12 year olds – 20 camper maximum

Friends Discovery Camp will be a great week of exploration. Problem solving is a great equalizer where children with a diagnosis and children without can meet on level ground and enjoy experiencing activities together. We will do some geocaching, solving mysteries, and creating mysteries for others to solve. Students are paired with each other and have a Big Buddy from UTC to help guide their experiences.

June 11-15 Camp RIVERBEND-Ages 11-14 (drop-off 8:30; pick-up 3:30)

This camp is for 11-14 year olds – 25 campers maximum (Cost $205 mem/$240 non-mem)  

If your child is constantly singing and playing music, this is their dream camp! We will investigate Riverbend stages, their lighting shows, the sound boards and load-ins during this behind the scenes camp. We’ll visit a recording studio and meet some of the artists that will be performing on the Riverbend stages. We will have opportunities to sing or play onstage and rub shoulders with the professionals during this exciting week. This camp is created specifically for the older child and will fill quickly.

Chattanooga Christian School offers a variety of over 50 specialty camps and sports clinics as well as 3- and 5-day sessions of our CCS Day Camp. CCS Day Camp runs for 9 weeks and incorporates art, games, water slides, sports activities, theme days, and more. Full and half day camps, as well as Before and After Camp Care, are available. There are fun camp options for PreK through 12th grade students! Sample camps for young children include princess, American Girl, adventure, Lego, intro to sports, and Spanish. New camps include digital music composition, mountain biking, CCS School of Rock, Hip-Hop, and even college essay writing for older students.

Week 1: Moana Dance Camp

June 11th-15th

Bring your child’s favorite movie to life. This week we will focus our class, craft, and rehearsal time around the theme of the Disney motion picture, Moana. Our end of the week performance will involve a dance to a song from the movie. Dancers will show this dance on Friday, June 15th at 12:30pm at CDT. Dress code for girls includes pink tights, pink ballet shoes, a solid color leotard, and hair pulled into a bun. Boys’ dress code requires black leggings, black, or skin colored ballet shoes, and a solid color shirt.

Week 2: Swan Lake Dance Camp

June 18th-22nd  
Combining dance with crafts, students will learn about the classical ballet, Swan Lake, during this weeklong event. Along with ballet class, students will study choreography, characters, music, composers, choreographers, and dancers who have been involved with this ballet over the past 100+ years. Dancers will show a short performance to Swan Lake music on Friday, June 22nd at 12:30pmat Chattanooga Dance Theatre. Dress code for girls includes pink tights, pink ballet shoes, a solid color leotard, and hair pulled into a bun. Boys’ dress code requires black leggings, black or skin colored ballet shoes, and a solid color shirt.
