It’s time to celebrate freedom, family, and fun in the Tennessee Valley! The 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays, and Chattanooga has lots of events for your family to enjoy.

2023 Chattanooga 4th of July Events

Friday, June 30th 5pm – 11pm: The 2023 Lafayette Freedom Festival will be held Friday, June 30. The event is FREE to attend and will be held at the Ross Abney Complex (old High School Football Field). Activities will begin at 5:00 PM. We will have Music, Activities, Vendors, and don’t forget the Fireworks at 10:00 PM.

Saturday, July 1st 4pm – 10pm: Join the fun in Catoosa County for their annual 4th of July community event! The festivities will begin at 4:00 p.m. with the crafts/makers market inside The Colonnade. The outdoor celebration begins at 5:00 p.m. with a variety of food and treats, children’s activities, and games. The band “Burn the Treaty” will kick-off live music performances on the Northwest Georgia Amphitheater stage at 6:15 p.m., followed by “Moon Juice” at 7:15 p.m., and “Love, Peace & Happiness” at 8:30 p.m. The fireworks show is scheduled to begin at approximately 9:30 p.m. In the event of inclement weather, the fireworks show will be held on Sunday, July 2 at 9:30 p.m.

Saturday, July 1st 9am – 10pm: Join us for the Soddy-Daisy Independence Celebration on July 1st, 2023! This one-day event is a celebration of community, patriotism, and fun, hosted by the Vietnam Veterans of America Soddy-Daisy Chapter 942 and supported by Keep Soddy-Daisy Beautiful.

Saturday, July 1st 8pm – 10pm: Enjoy a sunset and colorful fireworks display while paddling on the calm waters of Soddy Lake during this 2-hour, guided paddle board tour. We will float on the lake while watching fireworks burst overhead for the Soddy Daisy Independence Celebration. This tour is appropriate for beginners. All equipment provided.

Saturday, July 1st 5pm – 9:30pm: Join us on July 1st at McLemore Club for a spectacular night of fireworks, food, music, and fun!

Saturday, July 1st 6pm – 9pm: Join the City of Chickamauga as they host their first ever 4th of July celebration! There will be a concert followed by fireworks.

Sunday, July 2nd 4pm: Join us at Peavine on Sunday, July 2nd, as we celebrate our freedom with our Annual Fireworks Show. Invite your friends and family, bring a lawn chair (or a blanket) and get ready for a whole lot of fun. Food vendors will be available on-site and fireworks will begin at dark!

Sunday, July 2nd 11am – 4pm: Red, White, and Blueberry-themed market is an annual market nestled at First Horizon Pavilion. Featuring live music on the Lodge Cast Iron Stage and goodies from local artisans and craftsmen, this event is a go-to celebration in Chattanooga on the 4th of July.

Monday, July 3rd 6:15pm: Take in a Lookouts game and enjoy their beautiful fireworks afterwards!

Monday, July 3rd 4pm: Join in the holiday fun at the Collegedale Freedom Festival!

Tuesday, July 4th 2pm – 10pm: “Fun on the 4th” Brought Back as Chattanooga’s July 4th Community Celebration! Fun on the Fourth will serve as Chattanooga’s official Independence Day celebration on Tuesday, July 4, with a free family event featuring nostalgic fun in the center of our downtown! Showcasing the spirit of community with old-fashioned fun along with high tech entertainment, Fun on the 4th will fill Miller Park and the surrounding closed streets from 2:00-9:30pm. There will be carnival games, a 50ft gondola ferris wheel, vintage vendors & cars, art vendors, food trucks, cocktails, beer, and frozen drinks for purchase, live music on the Miller Park Stage all day long as well as a spectacular laser light show grand finale at 9:30pm in Miller Park!

Tuesday, July 4th 12pm – 4pm: Celebrate America’s birthday at CDM’s annual Red, White, and Blue Day! From noon to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, July 4, guests will participate in several themed crafts and activities that teach children and families about the reason the 4th of July is celebrated every year.

Tuesday, July 4th: The annual 1945 Dade County Fair will be held on the 4th of July. There are lots of fun events for your family to enjoy. The evening will end with a beautiful fireworks show.

Tuesday, July 4th 10pm: Spend the day at Lake Winnie and enjoy their annual fireworks show! If you aren’t going to the park that day, there are many local spots where you can park and watch the show.
